If there are three things that people in the Middle East appreciate when purchasing cars, it's quality, safety, and good value. Thus, it was inevitable that the Škoda brand would find its place in this region.

Škoda is committed to expanding its global brand footprint into more international markets and delivering European quality vehicles with exceptional value to a broader audience, including here in the Middle East. With the region’s rapidly growing economy and it’s pivotal roles it plays, becoming a global business hub and a melting pot of cultures, the Middle East stands out as an optimal focal point for our brand in our broader internationalization strategy.
In 2023, the Škoda Middle East office was established in Dubai as part of the Volkswagen Group Middle East. This move aims to strengthen partnerships with local dealers, instill the Škoda DNA within the regional network, and elevate the brand's prominence in the Middle East.
Our strategy, epitomized by our customers, the “everyday explorers”, testifies to the relevance of our products, our human approach, and our alignment with the Middle East market.
In the months and years to come, we plan to open more sales and service facilities and customer touch points, and focus on digital customer experience. Our team is ready to introduce the Škoda brand to new markets within the region as part of its commitment to reaching a broader audience and getting closer to our customers.
This forward-looking strategy aligns with Škoda’s global vision, emphasizing innovation and the delivery of high-quality vehicles to customers worldwide.
In 1895, our founders, Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, said, “Only the best we can do is good enough for our customers." Today, over 120 years later, this ongoing commitment has led Škoda to become one of Europe’s leading car manufacturers and enabled it to expand to over 100 countries worldwide.
At the heart of our company is the Škoda head office in the Czech Republic, where we’ve grown to become one of the largest companies and a key player in the economy. In fact, we employ over 23,500 people, working with a further 265 subcontractors. This makes up 7.5% of all exports out of the Czech Republic. While we’re talking numbers, you’ll find full transparency with regular financial results reports, annual reports and independent audits. We’re confident they reflect our best efforts for our customers, just as our founders would have wanted.
In 1991, Škoda proudly joined the Volkswagen family. As the largest car manufacturer globally, the Volkswagen Group annually provides customers with an average of more than five million cars — about 12% of the world car market. It’s a big family. The Group is made up of 12 brands from seven European countries: Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ducati, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Scania and MAN. It’s diverse, too.
Each brand has its own character and operates as an independent entity on the market. The products include motorcycles, low-consumption small cars, luxury vehicles and heavy trucks. As you’d expect, it gets very busy.
The Group operates 100 production plants in 19 European countries and a further eight countries in the Americas, Asia and Africa. Every weekday, 550,000 employees worldwide produce around 37,700 vehicles. The Volkswagen Group models are sold in more than 153 countries around the world. Most importantly, it’s supportive.
Since Škoda became a member of the Volkswagen Group, the brand has more than quintupled its deliveries to 939,200 cars in 2012. Today, Škoda is one of the most successful automobile brands, offering nine model lines and having established a presence in more than 100 countries worldwide.
