The Area View system displays, on an infotainment display, several different angles around the vehicle, captured with the wide-angle lenses of four cameras mounted at the front and rear and on the wing-mirror covers. A 360-degree panoramic view of the vehicle makes it easier to park or manoeuvre in narrow streets.

Park Assist semi-automatically guides the car into perpendicular parking spaces, and in and out of parallel spots. The system assists you by automatically carrying out optimal steering wheel movements to park within the lines, you just have to accelerate and brake. Park Assist can also finish off a parking manoeuvre that has already started.

To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the front or rear distance alerts, the Octavia RS incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.

Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the Rear-view camera uses a camera located on the tailgate handle. Working with the infotainment screen, the system shows the space behind the car and indicates dynamic guide lines, based on the vehicle width.
